Wilma G. Lundberg, age 93, of Isanti, MN took her last breath on earth and her first breath in heaven on November 22, 2024 at her daughter’s home in Eagan, MN. Memorial service 11:00 a.m. January 4, 2025 at Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti with time for visiting one hour prior at the church. The burial will be in Athens Lutheran Cemetery at a future date. Wilma Germaine Lundberg was born September 15, 1931 in Superior, Wisconsin to Clarence and Velva (VanGuilder) Johnson. She was raised in Duluth, MN. and graduated from Central High School. Wilma continued her education at St. Cloud State University earning her BA degree in Education. She taught 5th grade in the St. Francis School District for most of her teaching career.
In 1972 Wilma married Harold Lundberg. Harold then moved from his home in Dalbo to join Wilma at her home in Isanti. She was a woman of strong faith. Both she and Harold were active members of Faith Lutheran Church. Wilma was a wonderful mother and role model for her children. She enjoyed travel, such as trips to Cancun and spending time at the cabin in Wisconsin with Harold, their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and relatives. She also enjoyed many trips within the United States. Wilma was very artistic; she enjoyed painting, as well as fashioning and designing with wood and textiles. She also had a strong love for the performing arts and loved visiting art galleries.
Wilma will be lovingly remembered by her children, Robin Exsted, Mary Nyman and Tim (Shauna) Cooley; grandchildren Nathan (Deana) Zieske, Adam (Deanna) Zieske, Jenny (Dan) Edwards, Danny Ziebarth, Cameron Cooley, Nikki (Jeron) Tebo, Kris (Steve) Nowiski, Eric (Shauna) Cooley, Matt (Candie) Cooley; great-grandchildren Jacob, Gage, Hudson, Teresa, Ariana, Addyson, Aubrey, Will, Emma, Cole (Julie), Kelsie, Carter, Jesselynn, Charlotte, Myles, Maddy, Marie, Kevin and Ophelia; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to Wilma’s parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lundberg, sons Dan and Scott Cooley, son-in-law, Bill Nyman and three siblings, Leona Anderson, Art Johnson and Janice Anderson.
