Funeral Services for Emil M. Stamm, age 80, of Cambridge, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 12, 2007 at St. John Lutheran Church in Weber.
Visitation will be held 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday, March 11th at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel.
Emil M. Stamm, age 80, of Cambridge died peacefully on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at his home.
Emil Martin Stamm was born March 2, 1927 at Weber, Minnesota to Emil H. and Agnes (Koecher) Stamm. Emil was raised and attended school in Weber. On December 29, 1950 Emil was united in marriage to Violet Wiechmann at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in St. Paul. They made their home in St. Paul until 1955 when they moved to their current farm in rural Cambridge. Emil was employed for many years as a machinist at US Bedding in St. Paul and he also farmed part time. He loved the farm and John Deere tractors. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and going to threshing shows and auctions. Emil especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Emil will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Violet; four children, Judy Pohl and her husband John of North Branch, Karen Bartz and her husband John of Isanti, Keith Stamm and his wife Sandy of North Branch, and Valerie Bostrom and her husband Lyle of Isanti; by two sisters, Emmie Teeman of North Branch, and Lorine Peterson of Roseville; by 7 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 4 step-great-grandchildren; by many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Agnes.
