Genevieve L. Allen, age 85, of Cambridge died April 21, 2007 at Cambridge Health Care Center. Mass of Chiristian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 26th at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Braham with Father Nicholas Zimmer and Deacon Tom Pinataro officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the Mass at the church on Thursday. Interment will be at 3:30 P.M. Thursday afternoon at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in Milbank, South Dakota.
Genevieve Lelilea Allen was born June 22, 1921 in Milbank, South Dakota, to Herman and Edith Trapp. She was raised and attended school in Milbank, graduating from Milbank High School, Class of 1939. On June 16, 1940 she married Lyle “Mike” Allen and they made their home in Milbank. In 1970 they moved to Roseville, Minnesota,
where Genevieve worked at Golden Age Nursing Home in food service for 22 years. She was a member of the Blue Earth American Legion Auxiliary. She loved music, dancing and growing flowers.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Charles “Micky” in 1981; 3 sisters, Delores Miller, Violet Torgerson, Wava Dahl; 1 brother, Marwood Trapp.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Lyle “Mike” of Cambridge; daughter, Patty Allen of Braham; 7 nieces, Joan, Jackie, Karen, Kaye, Janet, Diane and Margaret; and by other relatives and friends.
