Janice M. Anderson, age 59, of Isanti passed away August 30, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 4th at Oxlip Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Leroy Scheumann officiating. A visitation will be held from 4 – 8 P.M. on Monday, September 3rd at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel and also 1 hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in Nichols Cemetery.
Janice Marie Anderson was born April 8, 1948 in Princeton to Reon and Lillian Peterson. She was raised in rural Princeton and graduated from Princeton High School, Class of 1966. Jan then attended Pillsbury Bible College for 1 year. On October 26, 1968 she married Glenn L. Anderson at Oxlip Evangelical Free Church and they made their home in rural Isanti. Jan was employed at Mill Ends Textiles for many years. She was an active member and Awana leader at Oxlip Evangelical Free Church. Besides her family activities she also enjoyed sewing, quilting, photography, reading, horses, dark chocolate and Pepsi. She also enjoyed her Friday trips to Herman’s Bakery with the ladies.

Jan passed away after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer on August 30, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids at the age of 59 years, 4 months and 22 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reon and Lillian Peterson. Jan is survived by her husband, Glenn of Isanti; daughter, Toni (Jeff) Maury of Princeton; son, Mark (Amy) Anderson of Maplewood; 4 grandchildren, Ian, Owen and Amelia Anderson and Anna Maury; 2 sisters, Fran Mitchell of Isanti, Mona (Ron) Bergquist of Princeton; and by many other relatives and friends.
