Albert Mahlberg, age 86, of Braham passed away October 4, 2007 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 13th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with Father James David Hahn officiating. A time for visiting will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Siloa Lutheran Cemetery.
Albert Mahlberg was born November 18, 1920 in Laktasi, Yugoslavia to Barthol and Catharina Melania Mahlberg. He raised and attended school in Yugoslavia. On November 20, 1950 he married Magdalena Kaiser in Vienna, Austria. In 1956 the family came to America and settled in Minneapolis and then in 1967 they moved to a farm in rural Braham. Albert worked at Ware Manufacturing in New Hope for 17 years and he also farmed. In his younger years he enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.
Albert passed away at his home on October 4, 2007 at the age of 86 years, 10 months and 16 days. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife and by an infant sister.
Albert is survived by three sons, Albert J. Mahlberg of Braham, Robert (Robyn) Mahlberg of Andover, and Joseph Mahlberg of Isanti; two grandchildren, Jaime (Troy) Grabow of Edina and their daughter, Abigail; Heather (Derek) McQuinn of Eldon, Missouri and their daughter, Peyton; and by other relatives and friends.
