Beata Luck, age 92, of Osseo and formerly of Bethel, passed away October 13, 2007 at Birkshire residence in Osseo. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 17th at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel with Rev. Howard Skulstad officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Beata Louise Luck was born August 7, 1915 in Fountain City, Wisconsin to William and Hedwig Duellman. She was raised in Fountain City and graduated from Fountain City High School, Class of 1933. On February 9, 1937 she married Kenneth Luck in Fountain City. They made their first home in Minneapolis. The family lived in several places in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. In 1957 they moved to Bethel. In 1990 Beata moved to St. Francis for 9 years until August of 1999 when she became a resident of Birkshire Residence in Osseo. Besides her family and the family activities Beata enjoyed gardening. She had a huge garden and sold her vegetables on Highway 65 for several years. She also enjoyed reading western’s, cooking and baking, playing cards and bingo and doing crossword puzzles.
Beata passed away on October 13, 2007 at Birkshire Residence in Osseo at the age of 92 years, 2 months and 6 days. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth in 1987; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 3 brothers; 1 sister; and 1 son-in-law.
Beata is survived by 5 children, Colleen (Lawrence ) Whittle of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Kathleen (Howard) Saunders of Red Wing, Eileen Larson of Champlin, Michael (Marie) Luck of Stacy, Peter (Peggy) Luck of Champlin; by 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and by many other relatives and friends.
