Delores Edberg, age 71, of Chisago City, died October 27, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Pauldue to complications from an automobile accident. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at St. John Lutheran Church in Weber with Rev. Kevin Zellers officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the funeral at the church. Interment will be in Fridsborg Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clayton Edberg, Kevin Amundson, Jimmy Amundson, Brian Buck, Kyle Boege and Ryan Braaten. Honorary pallbearers will be Jill Boege, Alicia Hopkins, Justin Siedlecki, Ashley Barnes, Tyler Siedlecki, Rachael Barnes and Jordan Erickson.
Delores Arlene Edberg was born April 10, 1936 at Bock, Minnesota to Thomas and Hazel (Burlison) McGinnis. She was raised in the Milaca area and graduated from Milaca High School in 1955. On June 11, 1966 Delores was united in marriage to Raymond Edberg. They made their home in the Weber community. After Raymond retired in 1997 they wintered in Arizona and spent their summers in the Chisago City area. Raymond passed away on July 6, 2003 and Delores later moved into the Heather Creek Apartments in Chisago City.
Delores was full of life and her family meant the world to her. She especially loved caring for her grandchildren. Delores also enjoyed going to garage sales, going to the casino, playing bingo, shopping, sewing, traveling and she liked antiques. Delores was a long time member of St. John Lutheran Church in Weber.
Delores Edberg passed away October 27, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul due to complications from an automobile accident at the age of 71 years, 6 months and 17 days. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; three brothers, Lavern McGinnis, Eugene “Mac” McGinnis, and an infant brother who died at childbirth; two sisters, Irene McGinnis, and Lois Ann Jester; and a son-in-law, Leo Buck.
Delores will be lovingly missed by her son; Kenneth Edberg of Superior, Wisconsin; six daughters, Roberta Buck (Gary Hempel) of Bradford, Tamara (Timothy) Siedlecki of North Branch, Kimberly (Peter) Boege of Chisago City, Jennifer (Brad) Erickson of Shoreview, Lori (Corey) Hopkins of North Branch, and Cindy (John) Barnes of Barnum; two brothers, Ronald McGinnis of Milaca, and Dale (Nancy) McGinnis of Cameron, Wisconsin; by 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, by many other relatives and friends.
