Olga Stoneman, age 86, of Isanti passed away on July 13, 2008 at Cambridge Medical Center. A funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 16th at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel with Father James David Hahn officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will be at Isanti Union Cemetery.
Olga Maria Stoneman was born January 1, 1922 in Pescara, Italy to Iole and Cesare DeTitta. She was raised and lived her early years in Italy. On February of 1946 she married Stanley Peterson, an American soldier. After Stanley’s discharge they came to the United States and lived in Minnesota until Stanley retired. They then moved to the Rio Grand Valley in Texas. Her husband Stanley died, and in 1997 she married John Stoneman. Her husband, John, died suddenly in 1999. Olga then moved to Corpus Christi, Texas to be near her son. Two-and-a-half years ago she moved to Isanti to be near her daughter. Olga was a great cook and was known for her Italian cuisine. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting.
Olga Stoneman passed away on July 13, 2008 at the Cambridge Medical Center at the age of 86 years, 6 months and 12 days.
Sheis survived by her son, Peter M. Peterson of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter, Susan Kogler of Isanti; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters in Italy; and by other relatives and friends.
