Bertha Taff, age 93, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2008 atGrace Pointe Crossing (Grandview Christian Home). Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 18th at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in East Bethel. A time for visiting will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
Bertha Elizabeth Taff was born June 9, 1915 in Hibbing to Oscar and Hilda Koski. Her family moved to Sebeka where she was raised. On December 10, 1934 she married Wayne Taff in Minneapolis. They lived in the Twin Cities until 1945 when they moved to East Bethel. Bertha worked at Northwest Airlines during World War II. After her children were raised she worked at Federal Cartridge for 10 years until her retirement. Over the years Bertha was an active member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in East Bethel. She was active in the community and was a member of local Birthday and Mothers Clubs. Bertha enjoyed sewing and was an excellent seamstress and quilter.
Bertha Taff passed away September 14, 2008 at Grace Pointe Crossing-Grandview Christian Home in Cambridge at the age of 93 years, 3 months and 5 days. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; two sons, Todd and Mark; by three brothers, Oscar, Henry and an infant brother.
Bertha is survived by her daughter, Joan (Larry) Lamprecht of Champlin; her son, Larry (Janet) Taff of East Bethel; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Julia Griffin of Sunnyside, Washington; one brother, Oliver (Donna) Koski of Blaine; and by many other relatives and friends.
