Donna R. Voss, age 77, of Isanti passed away Sunday, September 21st at GracePointe Crossing East (Cambridge Health Care Center). A memorial service will be heldat 7:30 P.M. onThursday, September 25, 2008 at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel. A time for visiting will be held from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the service on Thursday at the chapel. Interment will be in Isanti Union Cemetery.
Donna Rose Voss was born September 22, 1930 at Graceville, Minnesota to Robert and Rose Proudfoot. She was raised at Morris and graduated from Morris High School. On November 15, 1947 she married Leslie Voss in Iowa and they made their home in Minneapolis. In 1949 they moved to rural Isanti where she has since made her home. Donna was employed in St. Paul doing office/clerical work. She later owned a floral shop in Cambridge and then worked at Walmart in Cambridge, retiring in 2006. Donna also baked and decorated cakes and made many wedding cakes. She also raised and showed show dogs, mostly Maltese and Yorkies. Donna was an excellent seamstress and quilter. She also enjoyed playing the piano and organ and bird watching.
Donna passed away on September 21, 2008 at GracePointe Crossing East Cambridge Health Care Center at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 29 days. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie on January 3, 1973.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Joan Scott of Oakdale; 3 sons, Michael (Tina) Voss of Minneapolis, Jeffrey (Joan) Voss of Mounds View, Manning (Carol) Voss of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; 6 grandchildren, Christina, Kelly, Tony, Andrea, Ashley and Jeremy; and by many friends.
