Marion Peterson, age 83, of Cedar died November 24, 2008 at Comforts of Home in North Branch. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 29th at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in East Bethel. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Friday, November 28th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel and also 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Marion Dorothy Peterson was born July 24, 1925 in Minneapolis to John and Janet Oltman. She was raised in Minneapolis and graduated from Columbia Heights High School. She then attended Bethel College for 1 year. Marion married Wendell Peterson on April 28, 1945 and they made their home in the East Bethel-Cedar community. She moved to Comforts of Home eight months ago. She was employed by Soderquist’s in Soderville for many years. Marion was an active member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in East Bethel, serving in many capacities over the years. She especially enjoyed the family activities with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family thanks Comforts of Home for their loving and excellent care of Marion in the past months.
Marion passed away on November 24, 2008 at Comforts of Home Assisted Living in North Branch at the age of 83 years and 4 months. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell on May 19, 2007; and by 2 sisters, Janet Holeton and Karen Nelson. Marion is survived by her 3 children, Larry (Delores) Peterson, John (Toni) Peterson, Wendy (Lee) Bouley; 7 grandchildren, Chris (Stefanie) Peterson, Katie (Eddie) Osowski, Stacy (Rawlie) Hart, Brandon (Aimee) Bouley, Graydon, Drew and Blake Peterson; 9 great-grandchildren, ZaTanna, Trevor, Jakob, Bree, Samantha, Kortnee, Mackenzie, Allison and Kalie; 1 brother, Donald (Fran) Oltman; and by many other relatives and friends.
