Gail Wayne Younggren, age 57, of Ham Lake passed away December 1, 2008 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids after a long struggle with health issues. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, December 5th at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel with Pastor Howard Skulstad officiating. A time for visiting will be held 2 hours prior to the service. Interment will be in Florida.
Gail Wayne Younggren was born May 19, 1951 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota to Wayne and Violet Younggren. The family moved to Jesse Lake near Deer River and then to St. Louis Park for 4 years before moving to Ham Lake. After school Gail lived in several places; Atlanta for several years, Florida and Massachusetts, and then back to Ham Lake for the past 4 years. Gail enjoyed music, playing the guitar, hunting, fishing and was also working on his Master’s Degree.
Gail passed away on December 1, 2008 after a long struggle with health issues at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids at the age of 57 years, 6 months and 12 days. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Younggren. He is survived by 2 sons, Joshua and Lukas; mother, Violet Ableman; brother, Robert (LeAnn) Younggren and sons, Derek and Kyle; 3 sisters, Linda (Abram) Smith and daughter Erin and son Zach; Lori (John) Zins; Lisa (Duane) Hanson and daughter Jamie and son Dylan; and by other relatives and friends.
