Lew A. Johnson, age 90, of Princeton passed away December 9, 2008 at GracePointe Crossing West, formerly Grandview Christian Home in Cambridge. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, December 12th at Oxlip Evangelical Free Church in Isanti. A time for visiting will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
Lew Aultman Johnson was born November 26, 1918 at Lakefield, Minnesota to George and Almina Johnson. He was also raised in Lakefield. Lew then served his country in the US Navy Sea Bees in World War II. He was stationed in the South Pacific. On 1940 he was united in marriage to Lorraine Williams and they made their home in St. Paul. They later lived in Isanti and then in Brook Park. After Lorraine passed away in 1996 Lew moved to Princeton. He was an avid hunter and bowler, he loved dogs, traveling and eating.
Lew A. Johnson passed away December 9, 2008 at GracePointe Crossing West, Grandview Christian Home in Cambridge at the age of 90 years and 13 days. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine, and by three sisters, Lorraine, Agnes and Irene.
Lew is survived by three children, Jackie (Dave) Sipprel of Mound, Bill (Linda) Johnson of Inver Grove Heights, and Tom (Patty) Johnson of Andover; very special friend and companion, Joyce Fritchie of Princeton; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and by other relatives and friends.
