Marjorie Ruth Larson, age 86, of Harris passed away January 2, 2009 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 6th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with Rev. Ronald Bergman and Rev. Randy Petersen officiating. A visitation will be held from 4 – 8 P.M. on Monday, January 5th at our Cambridge Chapel. Interment will be in Isanti Union Cemetery.
Marjorie Ruth Larson was born January 23, 1922 on the Chilstrom farm in Isanti Township on January 23, 1922 to Harold and Ida (Chilstrom) Bergman. She was raised in rural Isanti and attended District 3 School and the Isanti School and Cambridge High School. Margie married Kermit Larson on October 31, 1942. Kermit was in the military and they made their home in California. After Kermit’s military service they moved to rural Harris where she has since made her home. She was a member of Good Sam Camping Club. Margie enjoyed cooking and being a homemaker. She was a hard worker and enjoyed gardening and growing flowers.
Marjorie passed away at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis on January 2, 2009 at the age of 86 years, 11 months and 9 days. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit; son, Larry; sister, Marilyn Olson; brother, Harold Bergman, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Larson.
Marjorie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Connie Clemens of North Branch; son, Lance Larson of Harris; grandson, Mike Clemens of North Branch; sister, Anita Colbaugh of Cambridge; two brothers, Roger Bergman of Cambridge, and Ronald (Carol) Bergman of Boyceville, Wisconsin; two brothers-in-law, Dennis Larson of Harris, and Kenneth Olson of Cambridge; and by several nieces, nephews and by many other relatives and friends.
