James Dauphinais, age 71, died on April 21, 2009 at his home in Oak Grove. Funeral services will beat 1:00 P.M. onFriday, April 24th at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in East Bethel. A time for visiting will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in West Oak Grove Cemetery.
James Frayer Dauphinais was born August 1, 1937 in Onigum, Minnesota. James was raised in Minneapolis and attended South High School. In 1989 he married Sandra Kollodge and they made their home in Oak Grove. James was a printer and retired from Graphic Arts in New Hope. He was very proud of his Native American heritage. He enjoyed music and was a talented musician. He enjoyed playing golf and had been a golf pro and also made golf clubs as a hobby. James enjoyed fishing and he would fish for hours from his yard on the Rum River.
James passed away at his home on April 21, 2009 at the age of 71 years, 8 months and 20 days. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra; daughter, Patricia; and by three sons, Charles, James and an infant son.
James is survived by his son, Michael Dauphinais of Columbia Heights; step-son, Daniel Kollodge and fiancée Sarah Nugent of Elk River; daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Gardas of St. Francis; four grandchildren, Charles, Jade, Paige and Brooke; sister, Vonda Dauphinais-Gluck of Minneapolis; brother, Edwin (Onie) Dauphinais of Dayton; and by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
