I, Albert Raymond VanDanacker, was born October 11, 1936 in St. Paul to Arthur and Elaine (Spencer) VanDanacker. My family moved to North St. Paul in 1945 and I attended school there. I married Janice Colburn in 1953 and 4 children were born to this union. We divorced in 1970. I married Pat Wines in 1973 and we divorced in 1981. Her kids were Bobbie Klatt, Ruth and Susan Wines.
I met Gloria Bastian in early 1981 and we married in October of 1982. Her kids were Brad, Stewart and Julie. We lived in Anoka and I had a 30 year career as an auto parts store manager in the Anoka area as well as in Ely, Minnesota and Prescott, Arizona. In 1998 Gloria’s health failed and we moved to Cambridge in 2001 where Gloria died on July 4, 2006.
In April of 2007 I met a special friend, Jan Rieck of Cambridge. We lived in Cambridge and Jan truly made these years extremely happy. I said many times that I never thought life could be so good.
My hobbies included fishing, wood working, cooking and baking.
