Doreen M. Dittberner, age 95, of Cambridge died October 28, 2009 at home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 31st at Spring Lake Lutheran Church in North Branch with Pastor Sean Whelan officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Parkers Prairie Cemetery.
Doreen M. Dittberner was born February 14, 1914 in Evansville, Minnesota to Carl and Louisa Jante. She was raised and attended school in Evansville. On October 26, 1950 Doreen married Melvin Dittberner. They farmed in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota and when their children were young they moved to Minneapolis. Doreen worked in laundry at G & K and at Jax Restaurant. She retired early to watch her grandchildren. They moved to Cambridge in 1999 and moved in with her daughter seven years ago. Doreen enjoyed going out to eat but most of all spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were her life.
Doreen M. Dittberner passed away October 28, 2009 at home at the age of 95 years, 8 months and 14 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Melvin on November 28, 2005, her son Raymond, brother Harvey Jante, and sister Almira Listrom.
Doreen will be lovingly remembered by her son; Winfred Dittberner, of Cambridge; daughter, Maxine (Danny) Haugen of Cambridge; eight grandchildren, Jay, Sam, Dana, Jesse, Miles, Butch, Joel and Corey; three great-grandchildren, Angel, Annah and Emily; and one great-grandson on the way.
