Bennett Green, age 52, of East Bethel died July 20, 2010 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 24th at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in East Bethel. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Bennett James Green was born March 5, 1958 in Des Moines, Iowa to Stanley and Sylvia Green. When Ben was in the 5th grade his family moved to Anoka, Minnesota. He graduated from Anoka High School, Class of 1976. Ben then attended Anoka Technical College and earned a Drafting Degree in 1978. On September 20, 1980 he married Janice Cox at the Zion Lutheran Church in Anoka. They made their first home in Hopkins and then a year later they moved to Northeast Minneapolis where they would live for 5 years. They moved to East Bethel in 1987. Ben worked in Store Design and worked in the grocery industry for 20 years. He was also part owner of Golf Country for 5 years. Ben was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in East Bethel. In his younger years he enjoyed water skiing and boating. Besides the family activities he also enjoyed fishing, golfing and restoring old vehicles.
Ben passed away at his home on July 20, 2010 at the age of 52 years, 4 months and 15 days. He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley.
Ben is survived by his wife, Jan of East Bethel; three children, Elizabeth (Brian) Points of Columbia Heights, Andrew and Hannah Green of East Bethel; mother, Sylvia Green of Elk River; two brothers, David (Debbie) Green of Elk River, Dennis (Colleen) Green of Big Lake; and by many other relatives and friends.
