Mary Lindberg, age 72, of Stanchfield died on August 21, 2010 unexpectedly at her home. There will be no public services. Burial will be in Barnes Memorial Cemetery in Wisconsin.
Mary Isbelle Lindberg was born September 15, 1937 in Barnes, Wisconsin to Charles and Julia (Downes) Norton. She was also raised in Barnes. Mary was united in marriage to Herman H. Bork and they were blessed with three children; Debra, Gail and Art. They raised their family in Coon Rapids, Minnesota and later in Aurora, Colorado. In 1978 they returned to Minnesota and made their home in Stanchfield to be closer to family. Herman passed away a short time later. Mary began working at Cambridge Launderers and Cleaners where she worked for many years. In 1979 she married Warren E. Lindberg and lived in Stanchfield. Warren passed away in 1983.
Mary loved gardening, working on crafts and crocheting. She also loved watching birds, especially cardinals and hummingbirds. Although she would never admit it, she enjoyed taking care of her cat. Mary will be missed by her family and friends.
Mary I. Lindberg died suddenly August, 21, 2010 at her home at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 6 days.Mary was preceded in death by her parents, by two husbands, Herman H. Bork and Warren E. Lingberg; two brothers, Charles and Earl; and by four sisters, Gladys, Edna, Genevieve and Virginia.
She is survived by one son; Art Bork of Stanchfield; two daughters, Debra Larson of Cambridge; Gail Tingle of Mora; two brothers, John Norton of Brooklyn Park, Henry Norton of Barnes; two sisters, Helen (Curt) Stange of Alexandria, Florence (Jim) Prickett of Barnes; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and by other relatives and friends.
