Lawrence Moos, age 78, of Cambridge died September 18, 2010 at GracePointe Crossing Gables East. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel with Tim Brown officiating. A visiting time will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Lawrence Norman Moos was born February 20, 1932 in Nowthen to Leo and Margaret Moos. He was raised and lived his early years in Nowthen. Lawrence served in the Navy from 1951 1953 during the Korean War. On September 18, 1954 he married Mable Voight and they made their home in Minneapolis and moved to rural Isanti in 1962. He was a cement worker and after retiring from cement work he enjoyed hobby farming. His other interests included collecting antiques, going to auctions, watching the birds and animals, hunting and just being and visiting with people. Lawrence has been in the nursing home since June of 2005 after suffering a stroke.
Lawrence Moos died September18, 2010 at GracePointe Crossing Gables East at the age of 78 years, 6 months and 29 days. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan; wife, Mable; and one brother, Al.
He is survived by five children; Patricia Powell and Sid Olson of Isanti, Martin Moos of Isanti, Timothy (Becky) Moos of Ogilvie, Chris (Cathy) Moos of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Paul Moos and Tina Mell of Braham; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Richard Moos and Michael Moos.; and by many other relatives and friends.
