Betty Bowers, age 82, of East Bethel died January 23, 2011 at her home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 27th at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel with Rev. Obid Hofland officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Betty Eve Bowers was born March 5, 1928 in Grantsburg, Wisconsin to Levern and Luella (Grushus) Sutliff. She was raised and lived her early years in the Webster, Wisconsin area. Betty married Philip Bowers on March 17, 1972. They made their first home in Blaine and then in 1973 they built their home in East Bethel. Betty was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Spring Lake Park. Betty dealt in antiques and had booths in several antique malls. She also owned Country Lane Antiques in East Bethel. Betty was very involved in all of the family activities and her life revolved around her family.
Betty Bowers died January 23, 2011 at her home at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 18 days.
Betty is survived by her husband, Philip of East Bethel; 3 daughters, Nancy (Rich) Childers of Maple Grove, Jan Dillinger of Cambridge, Valerie Sahr-Steppat of St. Francis; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Colleen) Sutliff of St. Paul; sister, Delores (Larry) Schmidt of Columbia Heights; and by many other relatives and friends.
