Dorothy Lewis, age 79,of Braham and formerly of Isanti, died September 24, 2011 at the Villa Health Care Center in Mora. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 28th at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 27th also at our Isanti Chapel.
Dorothy Mae Lewis was born August 11, 1932 to Charles and Marie (Kline) Hunt at home in Milaca. She grew up and attended school in Milaca. At age 18 she moved to Minneapolis and on June 7, 1952 married Abraham Lewis in Anoka. They raised six children of their own and many more. In 1965 she and Abraham moved to Isanti and then in 2002 Dorothy moved to Braham. Dorothy loved foster grand parenting. It gave her much joy. She also really enjoyed crocheting and made many different pieces.
Dorothydied September 24, 2011 at Villa Health Care Center in Mora at the age of 79 years, 1 month and 13 days.She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Abraham; three brothers, Charles, Harold and Bill; one sister, Phyllis Hunt and one granddaughter, Danielle.
Dorothy is survived by three sons; Ronald (Debbie) of Isanti, Michael (Annette) of Hinckley, Booner (Cindy) of Carver; three daughters, Chris (Allen) Nieman of Warroad, Connie Koehnke of Olivia, Kim (Leland) Isaacs of Braham; five brothers, Bob (Gretchen) Hunt, Jim (Shirley) Hunt, Jerry (Charlotte) Hunt, Donnie (Alice) Hunt, Larry Hunt (Joyce); one sister, Alice (Arnie) Dahlblom; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and by many other relatives and friends.
