Marjorie L. Becklin, age 89, of Stanchfield died October 8, 2011 at North Memorial Medical Center after an automobile accident. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 13th at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Cambridge. Friends may gather 1/2 hour prior to the service.
Marjorie Lenora Becklin was born October 4, 1922 in Iowa to Arthur and Elma Waidelich. When Marjorie was in her mid teens they moved to Minnesota. On November 15, 1941 she married Reynold Becklin in Cambridge. They lived in Minneapolis for a time and then moved back to the Stanchfield-Grandy area where they made their home the rest of their lives.
Marjorie was a very creative person and enjoyed making dolls and sewing. She loved raising her family and they were all very close. Marjorie was a loving and caring person and was everybody’s grandma. She was also very involved at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Cambridge. Marjorie will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her four children, Judie Ray Becklin-Serrrano (Dr. Juan) of Menton, France, Gary (Jonie) Becklin of Stanchfield, Keith Becklin of Stanchfield, Becky Fuhol of Stanchfield; two sisters, Arlene Gable of Mississippi, Betty Lou (Duane) Johnson of Stanchfield; four grandchildren, Ashley Fuhol, Rachel Becklin, Kristy (Carl) Boudonov, Juanito Serrano (Kimberly Reid); five great-grandchildren, Brianna, Daniel and Amy Boudonov and Emma and Samuel Serrano; and by many other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Reynold, daughter, Nancy Schuck; two brothers, Jesse and Earl, and a grandson, Danny.
