Helen Brunner, age 86, of Isanti died April 23, 2012 at home at Shady Oaks. No public service will be held.
Helen Elizabeth Brunner was born on the family farm near Eau Galle, Wisconsin to Austrian immigrants Joseph and Hannah (Finney) Brunner. At the age of 14 she went to Eau Claire, Wisconsin to work for a doctor and his family. Helen later followed her sister to Minneapolis where they later purchased a home together. Helen worked in the cafeteria at the Star Tribune for many years. After retiring they sold their home and moved to Mill Ridge Commons in Cambridge. For the last two years Helen lived at Shady Oaks Assisted Living in Isanti where she received excellent care. Helen enjoyed gardening, flowers and being outside.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Tom, two sisters, Katherine and Mary, and by two infant siblings. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Brad Brunner (Opal Harrell) of Cambridge; three grandchildren, Joshua, Joseph and Lindsey; one great-grandson, Jason; and by other relatives and friends.
