Agnes Fischer , age 86, of Cambridge, formerly of Isanti, died October 30, 2012 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 2, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church in Weber with Rev. Kevin Zellers officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 PM on Thursday, November 1st, at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel. There will also be a visitation 1 hour before the service at the church on Friday.
Agnes Florence Fischer was born February 2, 1926 in St. Paul to Peter and Ann (Schuller) McClellan. She was raised, attended school, and lived her early years in St. Paul. On November 10, 1945 she married Harold Fischer in Maplewood. They lived on Harold’s family farm in Bradford Township in rural Isanti. They operated the family farm and “Aggie” worked out of the home at various jobs. She worked several years at the Isanti Variety Store where she enjoyed meeting many people. Over the years she was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bradford and then at the church in Weber. Agnes also enjoyed being a “Red Hatter”. After her husband died in 1999 she remained on the farm for four years and then moved to an apartment in Isanti. Agnes moved to the nursing home a little over two years ago.
Agnes Fischer died October 30, 2012 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 28 days.
Agnes is survived by her son, Ronald (Kathleen) Fischer of St. Louis Park; grandson, David Fischer of St. Louis Park; brother, Douglas (Gladys) McClellan of St. Paul; and by other relatives and many friends.
