Wallace Blood, age 84 of Ham Lake died December 10, 2012 at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, December 14, 2012 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Oak Grove with visitation 1 hour prior at the church. There will also be a visitation from 5 – 8 PM on Thursday, December 13th at our Isanti Chapel. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Wallace Dewayne Blood was born February 15, 1928 in Summit, South Dakota to Victor and Erma (Crooks) Blood. He was raised and lived his early years in South Dakota. Wally served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Marcella Pruszinkski on March 6, 1954. They made their home in Minneapolis until moving to Ham Lake in 1963. Wallace was a member of the Don Hanson VFW Post in Ham Lake and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Oak Grove. He was an avid reader and kept up to date on current events with the newspaper. He especially enjoyed hobby farming and his dog. In younger years Wally loved to visit South Dakota where he hunted and fished in summer and winter.
Wally died December 10, 2012 at Fairview Lakes Regional Medical Center in Wyoming at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 25 days. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella in 2004. He is survived by his 3 children, Karen (Ken) Potts of Carver, Wayne (Carol) Blood of Isanti, Aaron (Wendy) Blood of East Bethel; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and by many other relatives and friends.
