Joan P. Carlson, age 72, of Cedar died January 6, 2013 at Grace Pointe Crossing Gables West. A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, January 9th, at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Francis. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service at church. Interment will be in Oak Leaf Cemetery in East Bethel.
Joan Phyllis Carlson was born October 4, 1940 in Minneapolis to George and Geraldine (Johnson) Webber. She was raised in the Minneapolis area and graduated from Mounds View High School, Class of 1958. Joan married Kenneth Carlson on November 5, 1960 and they made their home in East Bethel Over the years she has been an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Francis and she sang in the choir. Joan was a homemaker and enjoyed all of the family activities.
Joan died on January 6, 2013 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West in Cambridge at the age of 72 years, 3 months and 2 days. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon. Joan is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Cedar; 3 children, Laurie (Chris) Nelson of Plymouth, Shelly Carlson of St. Louis, Missouri, Eric (Michelle) Carlson of East Bethel; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Danny (Laural) Webber of St. Louis Park, Gerry Webber of New Brighton; 2 sisters, Janet (Bob) Eckart of Ham Lake, Marcy (Ed) Nelson of LaPort; and by many other relatives and friends.
