Ronald M. Landborg, age 78, of Ham Lake died June 9, 2013 at Windy Acres Assisted Living in Forest Lake. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 13th at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in East Bethel with Rev. Dan Nordin officiating. A vistation will be held one hour prior to the service and also from 4-7 PM Wednesday, June 12th also AT THE CHURCH.
Ronald Melvin Landborg was born May 12, 1935 at home in Ham Lake to Melvin and Victoria (Strecker) Landborg. He grew up in the Ham Lake area and attended Anoka schools. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Ham Lake where he also married Jackie Stevens on May 21, 1955. They raised their two children Richard and Penny in the Ham Lake area as well. Ronald worked as a bricklayer and also worked as an officer for the Ham Lake Police Department for four years. They owned a place on Mille Lacs Lake where they enjoyed most weekends. He loved hunting, fishing and golfing. Ronald also enjoyed trap shooting professionally and was known as “dead eye”. He was also known for his crafts and making crosses.
Ronald Landborg passed away June 9, 2013 at Windy Acres Assisted Living in Forest Lake at the age of 78 years and 23 days. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jackie; and brother, Phillip.
Ronald will be lovingly remembered by his son, Richard Landborg (Sandra Martin) of Wyoming; daughter, Penny Landborg-Crosson (Michael) of Wyoming; brothers, Dennis (Merlyn) Landborg of Aitkin, Kenneth (Lois) Landborg of Deerwood; sister-in-law, Marsha of Evelyth: grandson, Ryan Landborg (Laura) of Mora; two great-grandchildren, Sennie and Joey; and by many other relatives and friends.
