Susan Coulter, age 63, of Blaine died February 1, 2014 at home. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 8th at Glen Cary Lutheran Church with Rev. Howard Skulstad officiating. A visitation will be held from 4 – 7 PM on Friday, February 7th AT THE CHURCH and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Interment will be in Glen Cary Lutheran Cemetery.
Susan Eileen Coulter was born November 28, 1950 in Moorhead, Minnesota, to Edward and Beulah (Jenkins) Hochhalter. She was raised and attended school in Fargo, North Dakota. Susan married Mike Coulter on August 17, 1973 in Long Prairie, Minnesota. They made their first home in Montevideo. After moving a few times they moved to Blaine in 1990 where they have since made their home. Susan loved the family time and activities with her grandchildren. She also had a love of art, preserving art, quilting, sewing, crocheting, going to the lake and watching sunsets and traveling in the RV. She also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino and playing the dollar slot machine.
Susan died unexpectedly at home on February 1, 2014 at the age of 63 years, 2 months and 4 days. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Janice Strove. She is survived by her husband, Mike; son, Ray Coulter; daughter, Heather Coulter; 3 grandchildren, Kayla, Kallie and Grayson; 4 sisters, Angie (Jerry) Koschney, Adeline Hochhalter, Barbara (David) Blumer, Candice (Ron) Schmickle; 3 brothers, Ken (Sharon) Hochhalter, Ron (Linda) Hochhalter, Tim (Cheryl) Hochhalter; and by many other relatives and friends.
