Grant Wagner, age 86, of Cambridge died April 5, 2014 at Gables West in Cambridge. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 10th at Christ Lutheran Church, 641 89th Ave NE, Blaine. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Morningside Memorial Gardens in Coon Rapids.
Grant Paul Wagner was born November 3, 1927 in Tiffin, OH to Howard and Catherine (Scott) Wagner. He grew up and attended school in Melmore. On June 16, 1952 Grant was united in marriage to Marcille Pennington at Harmony EUB Church in Tiffin. They raised their four children also in Tiffin and the surrounding area. Grant was a hard working man who loved farming. In 1980 they moved to a farm in Isanti, MN where they lived until needing care and moved to GracePointe Crossing in Cambridge, MN. Grant loved threshing shows, antique tractors and visiting Machinery Hill at the MN State Fair. He enjoyed family events and he had a great, one of a kind, sense of humor. He will be dearly missed.
Grant is survived by four children, Ann Mason of Blaine, Donna (James) Weiss of Blaine, Darel (Tammy) Wagner of Isanti, and David (Lisa) Wagner of Isanti; one sister, Mildred (Carl) Hall of Arlington, VA; three brothers, William (Martha) Wagner of Fostoria, OH, James Wagner of Tiffin, OH, and Dale (Shirley) Wagner of Tiffin, OH; 10 grandchildren, Ryan (Crissy), Chad, Brad (Hollie), Eric (Krista), Valerie, Kristen (Chad), Lindsay (Leon), Andrew, Jessica (Mike), and Jennifer; 16 great-grandchildren, Averi, Audrey, Nolan, Sydney, Alex, Nick, Jillian, Selena, Austin, Wyatt, Kyla, Caitlin, Rachel, Austin, and Dominic; and by other relatives and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Marcille in 2012; an infant twin-sister, Martha; son-in-law, Gary Mason; and sister-in-law, Doris Wagner.
