Virginia Mabelle Dischinger (Lundholm)
On Monday, 5/12/14, one day after her 70th Mother’s Day, our Heavenly Father welcomed home one of His most angelic children, Virginia Mabelle (Lundholm) Dischinger. Nothing short of “Amazing” can describe this loving woman of God, who gave life and unconditional love to 14 children, 42 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She did this while being married 33 yrs to the love of her life, Robert, and 38 yrs a widow following his sudden and untimely death. Throughout her life, she lived Day by Day experiencing all of life’s wonders and challenges in the strength she found in her loving Savior, Jesus Christ. Late in life she penned a book “My Grace is Sufficient”, as she gave credit for all her joy in life to God. That explains all one needs to know in answering the oft asked question (or exclamation) “How did she do it!” Virginia was preceded in death by husband Robert, parents Axel and Hulda Lundholm, brothers Edward and Jim. She is survived by children and significant others: Meredith (John), John (Lorraine), Nancy (Steve), Bruce (Donna), Ronald (Linda), Karen (Gordie), Shirley (Robert), Mark (Brenda) Marcia (Paul), Roberta (Jim), Randall (Marcia), Richard (Beth), Dennis (Mary), and Beth (Diane). Also survived by 85 grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as a multitude of family and friends, far too many to mention. A celebration of thanksgiving for the awesome life and heritage left by Virginia will be Monday, 05/19, 11:00am, Eagle Brook Church, 8498 Sunset, Spring Lake Park. Visitation will also be at the Church, Sunday, 05/18, 5:00pm to 8:00pm and 1 hour prior to Monday’s celebration. Memorials preferred to Children’s Shelter of Cebu City.
