Frances M. Lindell, age 90, of Cambridge passed away peacefully March 20, 2015 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West in Cambridge. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 25th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, North Branch.
Frances Margaret Lindell was born April 5, 1924 in Springvale Township, Minnesota to Axel and Nina (Judin) Haglund. She grew up in the Walbo area and was baptized and confirmed at Cambridge Lutheran Church. On October 5, 1946 Frances was united in marriage to Marvin Lindell at St. John Lutheran Church and they made their home in Cambridge. Frances worked with her husband at their businesses, the Shell Station and Marv’s Auto Repair in Cambridge. They later purchased a farm near Bodum.
Frances loved nature and enjoyed fishing with Marvin. She planted many, many trees over the years. She also volunteered for the Red Cross with blood donation and donated gallons of blood herself over the years. She also enjoyed crafts of all kinds.
Frances passed away peacefully March 20, 2015 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West in Cambridge. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; and one sister, Laverne Johnson. She will be lovingly remembered by her niece and nephew, Deanna (Forrest) Wellman of Rogers, Dale (Nancy) Johnson of Arizona,; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Loretta (Ronald “Ole”) Olson of Cambridge, Dianne Stahnke of Isanti; and Elaine Lindell of Cambridge; by several great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
