Dean J. Slama, age 65, of Cambridge died November 11, 2015 at home. A visitation to honor his life will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 17th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel. (No formal service will be held.) Interment will be in Cambridge Union Cemetery.
Dean John Slama was born June 9, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois to Roy and Arline (Coltman) Slama. He grew up in Edina, Minnesota and graduated from Edina High School in 1969. Dean then served his country in the US Air Force. Dean married Caroledith Olson and they made their home in Annandale. They had one son, Eugene. Dean worked as a surgical instrument technician at Fairview Southdale Hospital and then at Fairview University Medical Center. He retired in 2009. Dean enjoyed target shooting, fishing and going to the casino.
Dean passed away November 11, 2015 at home at the age of 65 years, 5 months and 2 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Arline.
He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Gene (Christine) Slama of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Damien and Emmarie; one brother, Lee (Kathy) Slama; and by many other relatives and friends.
