Philippine Feist, age 91, of Cambridge died December 20, 2015 at GracePointe Crossing Gables East. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, December 23rd at Christ The King Catholic Church in Cambridge with visitation 1 hour prior. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, December 22nd from 4 – 7 P.M. at our Cambridge location.
Philippine Feist was born April 30, 1924 to George and Elizabeth (Krumm) Knoll on a farm near Hague, North Dakota. When she was 18 she worked for Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota. After one year she returned to the farm. On May 30, 1944 she married Al Feist in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hague, ND. They farmed for 20 years near Zeeland, ND. And then moved to St. Paul. She worked for 20 years at Ideal Security Door Hardware Manufacturing and retired in 1984. Six years ago they moved to Cambridge. They wintered in Ft. Myers, Florida for 25 years. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Phil was an avid shopper and collected cook books.
Phil died on December 20, 2015 at GracePointe Crossing Gables East at the age of 91 years, 7 months and 20 days. She is survived by her husband, Al of Cambridge; son, Gerald (Robin) Feist of East Bethel; daughter, Darlene Ward of North Branch; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
