Betty Ann Stanius was born January 21, 1938 to Henry & Melba Holland. She graduated from Princeton High School in 1956. In 1959 she traveled to Hawaii before it became a State which was a big deal back then for a single woman from a small town. On March 19, 1960 she married Dwaine Stanius and to this union had five children. They made their home in Coon Rapids, MN until 1973 when they moved their family to Isanti, MN. She worked at the ASCS office in Cambridge for 20 years before retiring in 1996. Since May 2013 she has lived at Prairie Senior Cottages in Isanti, MN.
Betty was thoughtful, caring and deep in her faith. She volunteered many hours at Long Lake Lutheran Church. Family was important to her and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren playing dominoes, dice or card games. She loved to read, sew, crochet, knit, quilt, play cards and polka dance. Betty and Dwaine attended many polka dances and festivals throughout their 35 years of marriage until his passing in 1995.
