Charles L. Brown, age 86, of Minnetonka, formerly of Princeton, died November 13, 2017 at The Villa in Osseo. The funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, November 17th at Long Lake Lutheran Church, 3921 – 277th Avenue NW, Isanti, with visitation 1 hour before the service. Visitation also 4 – 7 P.M. Thursday, November 16th at Strike Life Tributes – ISANTI.
Charles Lloyd Brown was born June 22, 1931 in Hopkins to Lloyd and Rose (Havelka) Brown. He was raised in Plymouth. He attended Holy Name Catholic School, Beacon Heights and Wayzata School. In 1961 he met Donna Larsen at a bowling alley. He asked her out several times and then she finally accepted. Chuck and Donna were engaged on April 11, 1962 and they were married on September 22, 1962 in St. Louis Park. Most of their married life they made their home in rural Princeton. Donna passed away on June 3, 2003. Chuck moved to the Heathers in Crystal in 2011 and then in 2015 he moved to Westridge Apartments in Minnetonka. He was an active member of Long Lake Lutheran Church in Isanti for several years. He was well known for his large vegetable garden and his garden was his pride and joy.
Charles died on November 13, 2017 at The Villa in Osseo at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 22 days. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Dorothy (Mark) Whitmore, Anita Holm; 3 grandchildren, Kimberly, Jonathan, Jacob; 2 sisters, Marcella Mueller, Delores Filip; 1 brother, Ken (Joanne) Brown; and by many other relatives and friends.
