Kevin Lowell Putnam, age 63, of Forest Lake died unexpectedly December 5, 2017. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, December 10th from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at Strike Life Tributes in Cambridge.
Kevin Lowell Putnam was born on January 21, 1954 in Anoka, Minnesota to Lowell and Eleanor Putnam. He attended Washington and Wilson Elementary Schools, Anoka Junior High, and graduated from Anoka Senior High.
As a teen he worked at Mehlman’s truck farm, and doing small engine repairs at Freeburgs. After he graduated, he worked at Anoka Marine, Ace Disposal and then he worked for Jones & Ottenweller for 32 years until he retired. He was a hard worker and retirement came reluctantly.
Kevin had his own kind of humor, was witty, laughed a lot, and liked to tease his sisters and brothers, and the kids. He frequently helped others, especially his siblings. He loved his nieces & nephews and his dogs (and spoiled everyone else’s!). His passion was cars, trucks, and engines, especially big blocks. Kevin was excellent at carpentry and mechanics and took pride in everything he did.
Kevin passed away December 5, 2017 at his home in Forest Lake. He was preceded in death by his Dad, Lowell; Mom, Eleanor; brother, David John; nieces, Christina Lahr and Melissa Morey and nephew, BJ Johnson.
He will be greatly missed by Sandra (Bob) Johnson, Steve Putnam, Doug Putnam, Cheryl Lahr, Gary (Karen) Putnam, 8 nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews.
