Lawren “Bud” L. Johnson, age 94, of Coon Rapids died May 25, 2018 at The Homestead of Anoka. A Memorial Visitation will be held to honor his life from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday May 30th, with a luncheon to follow, all at Strike Life Tributes, 409 Broadway Street SE, Isanti.
Lawren “Bud” Johnson was born February 17, 1924 in Pine Lake, Isanti County to John and Ruth (Erickson) Johnson. He grew up in Cambridge and attended West Riverside School. Bud served his country in the US Army form 1946 – 1947 when he was medically discharged. On April 3, 1948 Bud was united in marriage to Alzina West at North Isanti Baptist Church. They lived in Anoka most of their married life. Bud worked as a union trucker. His hobbies with Alzina included weekend trips in the camper when younger and going to the casino in later years. They also enjoyed listening to their sons play music in Stagebrush and other bands.
Lawren passed away May 25, 2018 at The Homestead of Anoka, in hospice after hip surgery. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Alzina; son, Daryl; and 5 siblings, Delbert, LeRoy, Sheldon, Gary and Irene.
He will be lovingly remembered by three children, Keith (Penny) Johnson, Mark (Patty) Johnson, and Patricia (Joe) Pulice; daughter-in-law, Dawn Johnson; three siblings, Gladys Johnson, James (Frances) Johnson, and Lloyd Johnson; 7 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
