Marcella “Tootsie” Daniels, age 87, of Cambridge and formerly of Park Rapids and Minneapolis, died May 7, 2018 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 12th at Strike Life Tributes in ISANTI. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Christ the King Catholic Cemetery.
Marcella Ann Daniels (“Tootsie”) was born August 29, 1930 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Anthony and Mary (Kolek) Ciepielinski. She was raised in NE Minneapolis and graduated from Vocational High School. On July 18, 1959 Marcella was united in marriage to Henry Daniels at Holy Cross Catholic Church. They were blessed with one daughter, Mary. Marcella worked several jobs including being a seamstress at Baker Furniture Company and Dayton’s. After retirement, Marcella and Henry moved to Park Rapids. She loved polka music and polka dancing. She also enjoyed bowling, playing cards and bingo, camping and fishing.
Marcella passed away May 7, 2018 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital at the age of 87 years, 8 months and 8 days. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by six siblings; Theodore, Edmund, Theresa, Florence, Joseph and Richard and brother-in-law, James Daniels. She is survived by her loving husband, Henry; daughter, Mary Swanson (Kenny Milz); grandson, Daniel Swanson (fiancée, Trisha Garcia); sister-in-law, Diane Daniels; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marcella’s family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the dedicated caregivers at GracePointe Crossing Gables West – Riverview One in Cambridge as well as the nurses and staff of the critical care unit at Abbott Northwestern Hospital who showed great care and compassion.
