Maryann Brittingham, age 78, of St. Louis Park died October 12, 2018 in St. Louis Park. Private family services were held.
Maryann Gustafson-Brittingham was born 1/8/1940 and died 10/12/18 from pancreatic cancer.
Maryann was born and raised in Mpls MN. At the age of 14 she was placed into foster care and into the loving home of Edith Lundquist.
She married Raymond Gustafson June 26, 1959. She and Ray were founding members of Good Shepard Covenant Church in Blaine where they raised their 3 children. Although she suffered greatly with mental illness, she managed to raise her children before becoming institutionalized throughout the rest of her life.
Maryann was well known for her baking and cooking. There was always an extra spot at the table and a big hug waiting for you.
She is survived by her ex-husband Ray Gustafson, her children Jody (Greg) Marx, Jackie-Duvall Smith, and David (Patt) Gustafson.
Her grandchildren are Benjamin (Kat) Marx, Joshua (Mikalah) Marx, Gabriel Smith, Caleb Smith, Nicholas (Alex) Blix, Samantha (fiance Nathan) Gustafson, Jarrod Gustafson, Sarah (Matt) Domboski and Paul Kohler.
Her great grandchildren are Evangeline, Lilias, Milo Marx and Hazel Grace Blix.
Preceding her in death are her grandson, Jeremiah Gustafson and his infant, son Winston.
Maryann is finally free from the suffering in both mind and body. She is in the loving arms of Jesus whom she loved so dearly, and trusted as her Savior.
