Sherry Carpenter, age 73, of Blaine, died January 7, 2019. A visitation will be held from 5:30 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. on Friday, January 18th at Strike Life Tributes in Isanti, with a time for sharing at 7:00 P.M.
Sherry Lynn Carpenter was born December 15, 1945 in Portland, Oregon to Byron and Ethel (Thaves) Cohoes. She was raised and attended school in Hill City, Minnesota. Sherry lived in the Anoka/Blaine area most of her life and the past five years were spent at Centennial Gardens in Crystal. She was employed by Cornelius Manufacturing in Anoka for 27 years. Sherry enjoyed socializing and had a great sense of humor. She was an awesome mom and enjoyed raising her two sons. Sherry adored her granddaughters and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed singing with the nurses at the nursing home, as well as gambling and going to the casino with her niece, Patty.
Sherry died January 7, 2019 at the Fresenius Kidney Care in Robbinsdale. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Paul; sister, Connie; and daughter-in-law, Rosemary. She is survived by her son, Gary L. Carpenter (Tami Bennett) of Isanti; two granddaughters, Marissa (Alex) Martinson of St. Francis and Jennie (Trevor) Honstrom of Stanchfield; two great grandchildren Ivan and Ava; brother, Gene (Terry) Cohoes; and many other relatives and friends.
