Dennis Leroy Oker, age 72, of Isanti, died December 30, 2019 at the VA Health Care System in St. Cloud. A memorial gathering will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, January 3rd at Strike Life Tributes in Isanti.
Dennis Leroy Oker was born March 9, 1947 in Minneapolis to Wilbur and Marjorie (Marose) Oker. When he was young the family moved to the Isanti area where he was raised and graduated from Cambridge High School. Dennis served in the Air Force from 1965 – 1968. After his military service he came back to the Isanti community. Dennis was employed as a machinist for many years and retired from Federal Cartridge in Anoka. He was a member of the Isanti VFW Post. He enjoyed working in his garden, growing flowers, fishing and collecting roosters and owls. Dennis had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Dennis passed away at the age of 72 years on December 30, 2019 at the Veterans Hospital in St. Cloud. He is survived by his 3 siblings, Larry (Becky) Oker of Cambridge, Cheryl Peterson of Isanti, Debbie (John) Lindberg of Pine City; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
