Lorna J. Brandt, age 81, of St. Paul died July 22, 2023 at The Estates of St. Louis Park. A Requiem Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 27th at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 777 221st Ave NW, Oak Grove. A wake will be held from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., with a Rosary at 6:30 P.M., Wednesday, July 26th at Strike Life Tributes, 409 Broadway St. SE, Isanti. A visitation will also be held one hour prior to the Mass Thursday at the church. Interment will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, 19921 Nightingale Street NW, Oak Grove.
Lorna June Brandt was born June 22, 1942 in Carroll, Iowa to Lloyd and Lorretta (Buelt) Boldt. She lived in Halbur Town where she attended Halbur Catholic School. In 1955, the family moved to Blooming Prairie, Minnesota. After graduating from High School, she attended a Community College in Austin. Lorna was united in marriage to Ronald Julich (former spouse) in April of 1964. With this union, they were blessed with four children. She loved being a mom and was proud of how she raised them. Lorna taught them how to keep house, cook, garden, and preserve her produce. She made the world’s best beef stew. She enjoyed being with family, the outdoors, dancing, going to the roller rink, puzzles, playing cards, and needle work. Lorna was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in St. Paul and Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Plaine.
Lorna passed away July 22, 2023 at The Estates at St. Louis Park at the age of 81 years and 1 month. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Lorretta Boldt, her brother, Michael Boldt; and two brothers-in-law, Jim Daniel and Keith Doerhoefer.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lori (Jim) Glass of Crookston, Steve Julich of Nowthen, Jenny (Allan) Fischer of Eden Prairie, and Rachael (Brian) Rohrer of Big Lake; siblings, Lynan Daniel of Seattle, Judy (John) Linder of Mankato, Jeanette (Tom) Huesman of Cross Lake, Anita (Cyril) Linder of Wells, Pamela Doerhoefer of Blooming Prairie, Lloyd Boldt, Jr. of Austin, and Patrick Boldt of St. Cloud; sister-in-law, Pam Glazier of Cold Spring; grandchildren, Richard Barnes (Xena) fiancé, Elizabeth (Thomas) Picard, Vincent Barnes, Helen Barnes, Ashley (Theresa) Barnes, Jacob Glass, Samantha (DJ) Wimmer, Alex (Tina) Julich, Anthony Shank, John Fischer, Mason Rohrer, Mitchell Rohrer; 11 great-grandchildren, with three more on the way; and by many other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank those who generously offered prayers for the repose of her soul and for the kindness shown during this difficult time.
