Betty Jean Hansen, age 87, of Cambridge, died May 5, 2024 at Walker Methodist Levande in Cambridge. Betty’s wish was to be cremated. A visitation will be held at 10 am followed by a memorial service at 11 am on May 22nd at Gearhart Funeral Home in Coon Rapids. There will be a lunch to follow at the Sgt John Rice VFW Post 6316 in Blaine. All are welcome to attend and celebrate her beautiful life.
Betty J. Hansen (Solt), age 87, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Walker Methodist- Levande in Cambridge, MN. She was born in 1936 in Foley, MN to Lester and Cecelia Solt and was the third of ten children. She is survived by all but one of her siblings, all of whom she was very close to.
In 1954, Betty married the late Lamoine Hansen. They lived in Ham Lake, MN and had 4 children together. Betty sadly experienced the loss of her husband and her son, Mark Hansen. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her remaining family. Through her surviving children, Hoyt Hansen (Pam), Greg Hansen and Lonna Lind (Jim), Betty had many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed bird watching, reading, gardening, and cheering for the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.
Betty was always fun to be around with her sweet nature and witty sense of humor. She never stopped thinking of others and going out of her way to let people know she cared. Betty will be missed dearly by all who got the chance to know her.
