June E. Nelson (Anderson/Ostenson), age 91, of Isanti died June 23, 2024 at Havenwood of Richfield. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 1st at Strike Life Tributes in Isanti. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service. Lunch will follow the service at our facility. Burial will be in Athen’s Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to The Minnesota Alzheimer’s Association.
June Elaine Nelson (Anderson) was born June 21, 1933 in Polk County, Wisconsin to Elmer and Marie (Wenberg) Ostenson. She was raised and attended school in Clear Lake, Wisconsin. On May 16, 1953 she married Ronald D. Anderson in South Minneapolis. They made their home and raised their two children in South Minneapolis as well. June worked for Honeywell for over 30 years making thermostats. In 1974 they moved to Ronald’s parents’ farm in Isanti where she lived until moving to Richfield for the last few years. She attended Country Roads/Oxford Baptist Church. June enjoyed fishing, gardening, sewing and her dogs. Spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her great joy. Ronald passed away in 2000. June married Lloyd Nelson on February 17, 2001. Lloyd passed away in 2007.
June passed away June 23, 2024 at Havenwood of Richfield at the age of 91 years and 2 days. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ronald Anderson and Lloyd Nelson; brother, Glen Ostenson; sister, Barb Asp; and brothers-in-law, Clarence Kern and Harold Asp.
She is survived by her daughter, Marcia (Bob) Anderson; son, Randy (Lynn) Anderson; grandchildren, Amy Schrader, John Anderson, Kristin Anderson and Erik Anderson; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Breann, Gabby, Mitch, Levi, Leah, Colin and Norah; brother, Ernest Ostenson; sisters, Eleanore Kern and Carol (Glen) Koehler; and by many other relatives and friends.
