Sharon Lou Voss was born on February 24, 1943 in Anoka, MN to Chester A. and Ruby R. (Osgood) Winch. She was raised and attended school in Linwood, MN. Sharon worked various jobs but found her calling when she became a nurse’s aide, first with Birchwood in Forest Lake then at Green Acres in North Branch, (where she retired from work).
On November 25, 1986 Sharon married Ronald Voss. They moved to Mesa, AZ for a warmer climate. After 28 years, they moved back to Isanti, MN, to be closer to family. Sharon enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She donated hundreds of baby hat and booties sets to area hospital nurseries and numerous lap robes to the Veterans. Sharon was a faithful daily Bible reader and enjoyed listening to Christian music. Mom endeavored to share Jesus with everyone she met. She made it her mission to pray for family and friends.
Sharon passed away from cancer, at home, on July 26, 2025, at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Ruby Winch, brother-in-law Paul Moore, grandson Nicholas Cava, and NUMEROUS friends and family. (An amazing heavenly welcome Home party!)
She is survived by her husband Ron; children Wade (Laurie) Geving, Ginger (Bob) Kell, Shane (Sheree) Geving and Zane Geving; step-children Suzanne Stelle and Barbara (Steve) Cava; siblings Joyce Smieja, Dianne Moore, and Kenneth Winch; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Mom’s urgent plea to all:
Are you saved?
Make Jesus Christ your savior,
and I’ll see you in heaven!
