
Sheila R. Grams, age 69, of Zimmerman passed away August 28, 2025. A funeral service in honor of Sheila’s life will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, starting at 12:00 PM, with a visitation an hour prior, at Zion Lutheran Church in Crown, Minnesota. Sheila Rae Grams (Anderson), a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and valued community member, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025. Born in Braham, Minnesota, on April 27, 1956, she grew up primarily in Blaine, then spent a short time in Fairhaven before her family moved to Isanti prior to her 7th grade year. Sheila graduated from Cambridge High School in 1974.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Janet and Lee Anderson. She is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel Grams; her children, Erica (Jim) Stiller, Edward (Rebecca) Grams, and Elisha (Garrett) Long; her grandchildren, Kaylea (Cody) Nelson, Jaden, Jaxon, Emma, and Owen; her great-grandson, Crue; and her siblings, Roger (Dona) Anderson, Greg (Debra) Anderson, Michelle (Greg) Becker, and Lona Hill; and many nieces and nephews. Her family was the heart of her existence, and her love for them was immeasurable.
After high school, Sheila attended Anoka-Tech for culinary school and began her career as a dietitian at a nursing home located in New Brighton. She later worked as a receptionist and eventually as a personal assistant at Piper Jaffray in Minneapolis. After meeting and marrying Danny, she became a full-time mother. Sheila dedicated her time as a “room mother,” going above and beyond to create engaging and memorable experiences for her children’s classrooms. She also volunteered at church, teaching Bible school for many years, where her enthusiasm and dedication inspired countless children.
Known for her warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit, Sheila had a unique talent for making every holiday unforgettable, especially Christmas, leaving behind a legacy of joy that will be cherished for generations. She found solace in gardening and enjoyed relaxing summer days by her pool, embracing life’s simple pleasures.
A graduate of culinary arts from Anoka-Tech, Sheila was celebrated for her cooking skills, often bringing family and friends together over delightful meals filled with laughter and love. Her kindness, welcoming nature, and radiant smile left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sheila’s faith was a cornerstone of her life; she loved the Lord and often shared stories about Jesus with her family. She found inspiration in her Bible readings and enjoyed watching TV sermons by her favorite pastors.
Sheila Rae Grams will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire everyone who knew her.
