Thomas W. McGuire, age 74, of North Branch died December 27, 2025 at Ecumen North Branch. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 16th at Strike Life Tributes in Cambridge. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service.
Thomas William McGuire was born February 17, 1951 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to William and Laura (Lood) McGuire. Tom graduated from high school in 1970 then continued on to college at Anoka Tech for Auto Mechanics.
In August of 1982 he married Vickie Thompson and they made their home in Cambridge.
Tom worked most of his life as a chef and loved to feed people. He was an excellent cook. He also dabbled in other careers such as cabinetry, auto mechanics, and driving truck.
He enjoyed wood working, making many intricate pieces, some we get to treasure forever. Tom was a big family guy and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was also fond of fishing, painting, and talking. Tom never met a stranger. Together with his wife, they would enjoy going to concerts. They would often camp at the Minnesota State Fair where they enjoyed the music and atmosphere. They are now both greatly missed.
He is survived by his son, Justin (Courtnie) McGuire; daughter, Amanda (Toby) Fauska; brother, Daniel McGuire; grandchildren, Kassidy, Katelyn and Alex; and by many other relatives and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie McGuire; brothers, Michael and Mark; and sister, Debbie.
