Marion L. Jernell, age 94, of Isanti passed away January 21, 2026 at Prairie Senior Cottages. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 16th at Strike Life Tributes in Cambridge with a visiting time 1 hour prior. Interment will be held June 25th at Long Lake Community Cemetery, contact the family for details.
Marion Louise Jernell was born June 25, 1931 in Burlington, Wisconsin to Eugene and Bertha (Nichols) North. She grew up on a farm in Waterford and attended country schools. Marion was married to Bruce Jernell for 54 years and they made their home in Isanti. She worked as a bookkeeper at Dairy Queen and at several auto dealerships. Marion was an avid bowler and golfer and she was very good at both. Marion and Bruce were snowbirds and loved traveling to several southern states in the winters. They also enjoyed dancing.
Marion will be lovingly remembered by her children, Karine Platt, Gary Friberg, Kathleen (Robert) Scott and Forrest (Catherine) Friberg; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; and by other relatives and friends. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; and siblings and their spouses, George (Verna) North, Harry (LaVonne) North, Janet (Milton) Foat, and Charles (Lorraine) North.
