Wayne Harold Erickson was born May 2, 1941 at Thief River Falls, Minnesota to Stanley and Agnes (Efteland) Erickson. He was raised and attended school in Thief River Falls. On August 4, 1962 Wayne married Diane Peterson in Lancaster, Minnesota. They made their home in several Minnesota cities before moving to Nashville, Tennessee. Wayne and Diane made many close friends in all the places they lived. They later returned to Minnesota and in September 2005 they found their dream home in rural Cambridge and church family at Faith Lutheran in Isanti.
Wayne was a stock broker for ten years and also worked as a salesman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking, playing cards and cribbage. He was a strong and gracious person who was outgoing and loved visiting with people. Wayne was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, the Sons of the American Legion and the Eagles Club.
Wayne Erickson passed away May 27, 2007 at his home after a courageous three year battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Agnes.
Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Diane of Cambridge; son, Brad Erickson of Cambridge; daughter, Rhonda (Jim) Brown of Isanti; three brothers, Jim Erickson of Brooklyn Park, Dennis (Phyllis) Erickson of Tennessee, and Keith (Linda) Erickson of Thief River Falls; four grandchildren, Nick, Emily, Haley and Aaron; by other relatives and many friends.
Dear Diane, Brad, Rhonda and Families,
